1967 BUICK SKYLARK CONVERTIBLE 1953 was the first year the Skylark name was introduced. In 1964 it became a stand-alone model name. In 1967 only 6,319 Convertibles were built. That makes these a very rare car considering that’s 57 years ago. Power is from the 4.9 litre V8 coupled to an automatic transmission. It has power brakes and power steering along with a power convertible top. Buick Rallye Wheels with Buick centre caps are fitted along with a set of Hancock white wall 205/75R/14-inch wheels set it off. In the dash is mounted the original Delco Transistor push button AM radio and in the glove box is a Kenwood AM/FM Stereo. Below the dash there is a set of three gauges to monitor voltage, oil pressure and water temperature. American cars of this Vintage can be amazingly good drivers because of their incredible simplicity. If they have gas and a spark they generally run. Previous ownership indicated the engine had been rebuilt. We have no documentation of that but it sure looks like its been out and detailed as well. We fitted a new water pump, starter motor and changed the oil and filter in preparation for sale. This car is very tidy with a solid body, nice paint, interior and convertible top. Slight wear on the driver’s seat back but still a really tidy interior. This is a great driver that looks the part, and something you’ll be proud to be seen driving. Finished in Gloss Black with matching Black Vinyl interior and Black Convertible top.
