1973 VOLKSWAGEN WESTFALIA CAMPMOBILE This Westfalia has a wonderful history. It was bought new by the most recent owner (now 91 years of age) through the Volkswagen Tourist delivery program by he and his wife in Hanover, Germany on May 25, 1973, driven through Southern Europe before bringing it back to Glendale, California where it was garage kept its entire life. It was used for camping up until about 12 years ago when the gentleman broke his hip and retired the VW but kept it garaged at home until February 2020. His decades long mechanic used to change the oil, do some maintenance as well as start it twice monthly for him. We have the original owners-manual, The VW Campmobile manual, The Manufacturers Statement of Origin and a related document that is a receipt for the Oval License plates to drive it outside of Germany. Even the California Pink Slip (Title) was issued March 30, 1974. The mileage indicated today is 140,310 and that has been represented as original and would appear original but for obvious reasons on a 47-year old vehicle not guaranteed by us. Along the line the Camper has been repainted its original colour, #20B Brilliant Orange with White Westfalia Fiberglass pop-up roof. The seats, curtains and cushions were re-done in original style and looking materials. It has a clothes-closet with a vanity mirror. The Westfalia fiberglass top and pop-up canvas are fully functional. Westfalia Deluxe Edition amenities include a sink with 7-gallon water tank and icebox Hard to find original fold-out center front table. The Westfalia is here in Santa Monica.
